If you need a convenientonline backup, checkout Mozy. It lets you fine-tune when and what to backup. It even has some nice presets so you do not have to hunt for your email folders etc. Once you set it, you can forget about it. Beats uploading files to your own web server or gmail account. Best of all - you get your first two gigabytes free. Actually, if you follow this referral link you will get an extra 256 Mb right away (and I will get an extra Gb for every four people that do that :-))

If you would like an extra 256MB of storage on top of the 2GB (which will also give me the same), you can use my referral link here:

or alternatively just enter the code CQC6RC by hand during the registration process.

Also, if you use my code, I will travel to wherever you live and give you a hug*.

*Hugs valid only for redemption within the greater Reading area of England. All others will receive a mental 'air hug' which will make you feel all warm and gooey inside.

  • svemir says:

Even though some would see this as competition to my offer above, since I am unable to provide the hug services Leon offers, I have approved his comment, to offer maximum benefits to readers of my blog. Hug away!

  • stevo says:

i have this too, its really awesome, everybody, its free unless u want more than that, heres the link, and it goes directly to download page: referral link removed due to lack of hugs

  • stevo says:

    What are hugs?

  • svemir says:

Stevo, see previous comment from Leon. Usually I would not allow anybody to post a comment that refers that same thing I am trying to refer, but in Leon's case he made an offer I can not match so easily 🙂

    found this coupon
you get 2.5 GB free (checked, it works!)

  • svemir says:

I am not sure how that would work, but I already have an account, so maybe that is why I did not see a way to use it.

Reading these kind of posts reminds me of just how technology truly is everywhere in this day and age, and I am fairly confident when I say that we have passed the point of no return in our relationship with technology.

I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Ethical concerns aside... I just hope that as technology further innovates, the possibility of copying our memories onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's one of the things I really wish I could experience in my lifetime.
